Analytics

Analytics gives page admins a bounded summary of how the public page and notification system are performing.

What analytics covers

The analytics workspace can show recent activity across windows such as 7, 30, and 90 days.

Top-level cards include:

  • page views
  • estimated unique visitors
  • net subscriber growth
  • delivery success

Detailed sections can include:

  • public page and embed traffic
  • subscriber totals and changes
  • incident and maintenance activity
  • notification delivery totals
  • daily breakdowns

Unique visitors are estimated in a privacy-conscious way, so the report stays useful without becoming raw visitor tracking.

How to use analytics

Use analytics to answer operational questions:

  • are people using the public page?
  • are hosted embeds visible in the places we added them?
  • is subscriber growth healthy?
  • are notifications delivering successfully?
  • did a recent incident increase page traffic?

Analytics is for operating the page. It is not shown as public status content.

Automation access

The same summary can be accessed through supported automation surfaces when the caller has the right permissions.

Use the UI for day-to-day review. Use the API or MCP surfaces when reporting or support workflows need the same bounded data.

What analytics is not

Analytics is not durable page configuration. It is not managed as Terraform state, and it should not replace notification auditing when you need to inspect a specific delivery attempt.
